Özet (EN)

Diabetes is a chronic hyperglycemic metabolic disease leading carbonhydrate, protein, lipid metabolism disorders, effecting life span and quality causing organ and function disorders due to absolute or relative decrease of insuline secretion or its effect. In this study, impacted on glucose metabolism, apelin and chemerin levels of diabet generated rats having been detected, their relations by each one and insuline resistance of adipokins and β cell function was investigated in order to know whether they have relations or not. Five weeks old Sprague Dawley rats were divided into three groups. Control group (n=7) were exerted standart diet, diabetes group (n= 10) were acceded diabetic by taking blood from tail ven three days after a single dose of interitoneal Streptozotosin aplicant (65mg/kg). First group were decapitated at the seventh day, second group at the fourteenth day last group at the twenty first day. Taken samples were examined according to process of the study. Whereas there was not statistical significance among control group and others, it has been detectes numerically increase in the serum apelin, chemerin, insuline, c- peptid, HbA1-c, LDL and uric acid levels between diabet generated rats. On the other hand glucose, glucose 1, HDL, trigliserid, cholesterol, HbA1-c levels were found out to have significant difference (p< 0,05) as we examined obtained data. As a result we are able to say Apelin and Chemerin levels numerically increased with diabetes, yet more studies must carry out and better outcomes need to have in order to say there are statistical increase. Key Words: Diabetes, Apelin, Chemerin, Rat
