Abstract (EN)
This study examines the positive and negative impacts of Quran education received by groups between the ages of 25-40 in courses affiliated with the Presidency of Religious Affairs on the joy of life and anxiety about the afterlife. This study also touches upon the fields of religious education, psychology of religion, sociology of religion, psychology and sociology, centered on recitation. Real-time interviews were conducted to examine the effects of Quran recitation on the individual's joy of life and anxiety about the afterlife in the context of Quran courses, and it was aimed to obtain reliable data on this subject. This study consists of two sections; in the first section, information is provided about the historical process of Quran education provided under the responsibility of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the method they apply. Again, the conceptual framework was addressed based on the levels of adulthood in the education given to individuals between the ages of 25-40 in Quran courses, the interdisciplinary definitions of the concept of adulthood, the methods followed in adult education in terms of Quran teaching, the relationship between the science of recitation and other sciences, the psychological and sociological effects of Quran recitation, the joy of life and anxiety about the afterlife. In the second section, the observations of the instructors who gave education in these courses about the trainees were mentioned and it was tried to obtain healthy data on the subjects such as why the trainees received Quran education, the reasons for preferring Quran courses, and how Quran education affected the trainees in terms of joy of life and anxiety about the afterlife. In this study, which was carried out with ethical rules and academic seriousness, it was concluded that Quran recitation had positive psychological effects on the trainees between the ages of 25-40, the trainees' joy of life increased and the trainees' anxiety about the afterlife decreased. It has been determined that the instructors who teach the course also observed the psychological changes and developments in faith during this educational process, and that these students participated in social life with more confident feelings.
