ABSTRACT MASTER THESIS THE EFFECT OF DRIP IRRIGATION AND SOWING DATES ON YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS OF CHICKPEA (Cicer arietinum L.) IN DİYARBAKIR-BİSMİL CONDITIONS ÖMER SAVAŞ ÖZGÜN DEPARTMENT OF FIELD CROPS INSTITUTE OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF DİYARBAKIR Supervisor: Prof.Dr. Doğan Sakar Year: 2004 Page: 135 This research was conducted as two experiment with irrigated and sowing dates in chickpea at agriculture management office in Bismil-Diyarbakir, in 2001-2002 growing season. The first experiment was conducted with 4 chickpea cultivars (Gökçe, Diyar 95, Sarı 98 ve Aziziye 94) under irrigated in 'split block design in 2001. The second experiment was conducted to determine the effect of different sowing dates in Gökçe chickpea cultivar in randomized block design in 2002. Days to maturity, biological yield per plant, number of second branches per plant, number of total pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed yield of per plant, characteristics of pod, characteristics of seed, 1 00 seed weight, grain yield per unit area, total biological yield and harvest index were increased by irrigated. When sowing dates were delayed, it was obtained that days to flowering, period of flowering, days to maturity, natural plant height, length of leave, length of flower, biological yield per plant, number of total pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed yield per plant, length of pod, length of seed, 100 seed weight, grain yield per unit area, total biological yield and straw yield were decreased.
