Abstract (EN)

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the increased genetic risks of the HLA-G (HLA-G*0105N, HLA-G*0103, HLA-G*0104) and HLA-E (HLA-E*0101, HLA-E*0103) alleles in patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) in Diyarbakir region. Material and Method: In this study, patients women who came to Dicle University, Faculty of Medicine Hospital, Medical Biology Department, Genetic Diagnosis Laboratory with a diagnosis of recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) and had 46,XX karyotype were evaluated. PCR-RFLP techniques were used for DNA isolated from patients and control groups. HLA-E and HLA-G gene polymorphism analyses were performed. Results: In our study, there was no statistical difference between the patient and the control groups in terms of HLA G*0105N, HLA-G*0103, HLA-E*0103 gene polymorphism (p>0,05). There was a statistically significant difference between the patient and control groups in terms of HLA-G*0104 and HLA-E*0101 polymorphism (p<0,05). Conclusion: Through the results obtained in our study, it is considered that there is a significant relationship between HLA-G0*104 ve HLA-E*0101 gene polymorphisms and recurrent spontaneous abortion. This study is the first to investigate the relationship between HLA-G and HLA-A and RSA in our country according to current literature information.
