Overview of Diyarbakir natural stone industry and sectoral analysis

This research was carried out by the Faculty of Engineering of Dicle University with the support of Diyarbakır Marbles Miners Association (DIMAD) and Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Within the scope of the project, not only the marble quarries and factory enterprises within the borders of Diyarbakır province were evaluated, but also the natural stone enterprises of the Diyarbakır origin marble sector investors in other regions of our country. By conducting field studies (surveys), the contributions of the investors of the Diyarbakır Marble Sector to the Natural Stone Sector of the country and therefore to the economy have been statistically demonstrated. Field studies are limited to companies that are members of DIMAD.
