PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF THE FILLING METHODS APPLIED TOSOME MARBLES IN D YARBAKIR REGIONSümeyra CEVHEROĞLUIn this study, performance of the filling methods that were applied on the limestoneorigined marbles which are widely produced in Diyarbakır Region such as Orient Pink,Tigre Beige and Sand Wave were evaluated. It was pointed out with laboratoryresearches that how the physical and rock mechanical properties of the marbles affectedby the applied filling methods. Furthermore, a cost analysis was carried out todetermine how much the filling methods increase processing cost of the marble. Also thefactors i,e., physical and chemical properties, texture and filling methods, affect theeffectiveness of the filling methods were explained in details.
