Abstract (EN)
The Effect of Anti-Embolism Stocking Use Protocol on the Development of Early Venous Thromboembolism in Patients Undergoing Knee Arthroplasty The study was conducted to examine the effect of anti-embolism stocking use protocol on the development of early VTE in patients undergoing knee arthroplasty. This study was planned as a randomized controlled single-blind intervention study was conducted with 40 patients (experimental group: 20, control group: 20) who underwent knee arthroplasty surgery in the Çukurova University Balcalı Hospital Health Application and Research Center Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinicand who met the sampling criteria. For the experimental group patients; the EEC usage protocol, which was prepared on the basis of resources and guides, was applied. As for the control group patiens; the routine of the clinic was applied. Data were used Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Chi-Square, Student's T, Mann-Whitney U, Mixed Model, Cochran's Q test and numerical variables with normal distribution were used as mean±standard deviation, numerical variables without normal distribution were median (min-max), categorical variables evaluated by number and percentage. In the study, the presence of redness and wound, among the DVT findings were in fovar of the experimental group (Δp<0,05), while there were no significant difference between the groups in terms of other findings of DVT and PE findings (Δp>0,05). As a result, positive effects of the anti-embolism stocking protocol on the development of early venous thromboembolism were determined in patients who underwent knee arthroplasty.
