The effect of natural disasters on formation of sosial history and its importance in history teaching

The events which are formed by nature and totally developed completly the control of human beings are named natural disasters. Even though these natural disasters such as eartquakes, torrents, epidemic diseases, land sides, storms, snowstorms, frosts, droughts, famines, which directly effect social life and human beings, are not studied in modern history. Also they are not given enough importance in history teaching in schools. Natural disasters can not be prevented. However, If we are thoroughly informed about them and their historical results, we can protect ourselves against the destruction of these natural disasters. In this paper, I will try to inform people and point the precautionary measures by telling the history of natural disasters and their negative effects on human social life. If we become more concious of the history of the natural disasters, we can diminish the destruction of these natural disasters on social life. This paper which is titled as ?THE EFFECT OF NATURAL DISASTERS ON FORMATION OF SOCIAL HISTORY AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN HISTORY TEACHING? includes the description and extent of natural disasters, eartquakes, torrents, the attacks of grasshoppers, drought, famine and their effects on social life. Apart from this , it shows the manner of Ottoman Empire against the natural disasters and I believe that this subject must be dealt with more fully in history books.
