Investigation of fisheries violations in the eastern black sea (Gi̇resun-Hopa) between 2009 and 2014

In this study, the fishing violations data were examined during fishing activities conducted in 2009-2014 between Giresun and Hopa. The data was obtained from by Turkish Coast Guard are of the ban on hunting aquaculture were examined. When considering the data for Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, the highest violation was recorded in Trabzon. However, the lowest one was in Artvin. Considering the fishing techniques, purse seines have the highest the amount of the fines imposed (594.216 billion ¨). On the other hand, Volin network have the lowest value (923 ¨). The fines imposed on people were Trabzon (114 people), Artvin (91 people), Rize (32 people), and Giresun (32 people), respectively. In terms of the type of the crime, the highest level of violations comes from the field violations and the technical procedural violations, height and time, respectively.
