Abstract (EN)
This study aims the assessment of stigmatization for the alcohol and substance addiction, smoking, alcohol and substance use prevalence and relation between stigmatization for alcohol and substance addiction, faculty of study and smoking, alcohol and substance use among students of Faculty of Education, Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Theology of Dokuz Eylul University. 240 students from Dokuz Eylul University ( 81 students from Faculty of Theology, 83 students from Faculty of Education and 76 students from Faculty of Fine Arts) has participated in this study. Scale "Stigmatization of Alcohol-Drug Addiction" developed by Varan and Ozbay has been used in this study. Chi Square Test, Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), Tukey's Test and Tamhane's T2 Test has been used in statistical analysis of obtained data. According to research findings, students' stigmatization tendency shows significant difference according to faculty of study, sex, income and smoking, alcohol and substance use of themselves and their parents. Stigmatization level of students studying at Faculty of Fine Arts was lower compared to students in the faculties of Education and Theology. In addition, it has been observed that stigmatization level of students which smoke and use alcohol and substances is lower compared to non-smokers and non-alcohol-substance users. Another important finding shows that 60,1% of students have high negative attitude and at the same time 80,6% of students have high positive attitude and there is no significant relation between high positive attitude and other variables Keywords: stigmatization, attitude, student, alcohol, drugs, smoking, substance, addiction.
