Examination of understanding level of nineth grade Turkish literature lesson exterior structural in poems unit, teacher-student views: Trabzon example

In this Master thesis, which was interested in the level of understanding that students have about the exterior structural concepts of poems in Turkish Literature Lesson, Poetry Unit, it was aimed to define the level of understanding the students have as well as the factors that contribute to learning, by taking the opinions of students and teachers.In this research which uses both qualitative and quantitive values, figurative methodology is used. Implementation for the reasearch was made in 2009-2010 educational period at secondary education schools in Trabzon, wih students and teachers. As Data gatherin tools Surveys and Interwievs are used. Interwievs with 22 teachers and , Surveys with 336 stuendents were made. Interwievs that are used in the research are semi-structured interwievs that is consisted of open ended questions.Percentages and frequencies of data that was gathered are calculated and organized in tables. And after that analysis of these tabled data are made. After the resaerch, best understood concepts and the effect of techniques on conceptual education was shown. Interwievs with teachers and the Surveys with students are compared and through this it has been made clear that there are differences in the views of students and teachers.
