Investigation of activities of daily life in case with adhesive capsulitis affecting dominant and nondominant shoulder

Adhesive capsulitis (AC) is a condition that occurs as a result of inflammation and hardening of the shoulder joint capsule. This condition can seriously limit the mobility of the shoulder and negatively affect activities of daily living. The development of AC, especially in dominant and non-dominant shoulders, may have different effects on the quality of life of patients. This thesis examines the daily living activities of patients with AC, especially its effects on dominant and nondominant shoulders. AC is a condition characterized by stiffening and reduced mobility of the shoulder joint capsule. In conclusion, the chart shows that there is no direct relationship between patients' body mass index and pain or loss of functionality in activities of daily living, but the strong and significant correlation between disabilities of the arm, shoulder and hand scale (DASH) and visual analog scale (VAS) shows that there is a close relationship between limitations in activities of daily living and pain severity. This indicates that patients' pain levels and loss of functionality are interrelated and therefore should be further emphasized when determining treatment strategies.
