A research on the effect of transformational leadership on organizational performance

The leader is a leader who reveals the motivation of his followers to carry out their actions in the process of achieving their goals, creates synergy around the common goal, and ensures all this by creating an integrity based on rational and logical thought; He is the person who mobilizes the purpose and vision he designed in line with the current conditions, taking into account the structural situation, with his individual charisma and mental genius, by including his followers in a safe environment. Research on how leadership ability develops in a person has, from past to present, focused on which management style a leader can adopt under certain circumstances to achieve success. Among the researches carried out in the historical process, the "transformational leadership approach", which was the subject of Burns's studies in 1978 and resonated with large masses, has found a lot of space in the field of social sciences and is one of the most researched topics compared to other leadership approaches, as it focuses on adapting to changing conditions with change and development became like that.In this study, in order to determine whether transformational leadership has an effect on organizational performance, a field study was conducted on a total of 269 employees, 90 of whom were women and 179 of whom were men, by simple random sampling method, among the academic and administrative staff working in units affiliated with Ardahan University. Has been carried out. Correlation and regression analyzes were applied to determine the effect levels of the data obtained as a result of the survey and the direction and magnitude of the relationship between them.As a result of the study, it was determined that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on organizational performance. In addition, it was concluded that transformational leadership has a significant and positive effect on task performance and contextual performance attitudes, which are sub-dimensions of organizational performance.
