Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of transformational leadership on employees' organizational commitment and job satisfaction were examined using quantitative methods, with the participation of 307 employees working in various sectors in Mersin. The primary research problem is determining how and to what extent the perception of transformational leadership influences employees' organizational commitment and job satisfaction levels. Literature indicates that transformational leadership is positively associated with critical outcomes such as organizational performance, employee motivation, and corporate sustainability. The findings revealed that the overall averages for organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and transformational leadership perceptions were moderately high. Analyses based on gender and marital status showed no significant differences in these three variables. It was observed that employees in managerial positions had higher organizational commitment levels compared on on-managers, although job satisfaction and leadership perceptions did not significantly differ between managerial and non-managerial groups. One-way ANOVA results indicated significant differences in organizational commitment levels across sectors. Correlation analyses demonstrated positive and strong relationships between transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction; the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment was also high. Regression analyses showed that transformational leadership explained approximately 38.4 % of the variance in organizational commitment and approximately 37.5 % of the variance in job satisfaction. Simple linear regression models indicated that each unit increase in transformational leadership significantly increased organizational commitment and job satisfaction by 0.606 and 0.618 units, respectively. It was confirmed that transformational leadership practices in businesses specific to Mersin constitute a powerful factor in enhancing employees' organizational commitment and job satisfaction.
