Abstract (EN)

The speedy changes of globalization and technology strongly effect enterprises. Uncertainty created by change forces enterprises to accept and adopt new managerial understanding in order that they can gain advantages in sustainable competition. For enterprises keeping up with change and directing (giving direction to) change can only be possible with innovation and by way of taking risk somehow. The fundamental objective in this research is to put forth whether or not transformational leadership style of top level executives of enterprises has an effect on their innovation focused strategic orientation.Within this context, a field survey has been realized in Istanbul. In order to make the hypotheses which determine the subject of the research measurable, the questionnaire form method out of field survey methods has been utilized. In this study, while the survey in which the data is to be obtained is being prepared, the literature is scanned, and the most convenient scales have been determined; and as a result, they have been submitted to the executives in the form of five point likert scale. In addition, the data obtained from the survey have been evaluated in the ?SPSS 16.0 for Windows? program. In the Cronbach Alpha Model the reliability analysis of the data has been realized. In the analysis of the hypotheses used in the research, regression and correlation analyses have been utilized. Key words: Leadership, Transformational Leadership, Innovation, Risk Takin
