Özet (EN)
The aim of this study is determination of acute effects of four different swimming styles on respiratory muscle strength, fatigue and endurance. For this purpose, 18 young competitive swimmers participated in this project as subjects. For determining baseline level of subjects, firstly, control trial applied to subjects without swimming performance. After that, four different swimming styles (frontcrawl, backcrawl, butterfly, breaststroke) with 50m swimming sprint performance were randomly (picking trial card) performed by subjects as four different trials. After all trials measurements applied to all subjects in order to respiratory muscle strength, fatigue and endurance parameters. Obtained data were analyzed with Repeated Measures One Way ANOVA test and LSD correction. Four different swimming styles have negative acute effect on respiratory muscle strength, fatigue and endurance (p<0.05). Besides, frontcrawl and especially butterfly styles have bigger negative acute effects. (p<0.05). As a result, it could be said that four different swimming styles have negative acute effects on respiratory muscle strength, fatigue and endurance; especially butterfly style has much more.
