Abstract (EN)

People lead their lifes in and with language. Language do have an impact on social and individual genetic codes of people and their civilization formation; it formulates and characterizes consciousness and sub-consciousness, system of emotions and thoughts, ability to see, read and interpret life itself. This obvious interlink between language and people, such a conditioning paved the way for various language seperation practices. We might call this as "language variation? and there are two basics of this: spoken and written language. All the other langauge activities have their roots in these concepts. It has a direct corrrelation with the effect of language on art and humanbeings. Every form of art except for visiual arts uses language and lives in language. Existence of language in drama art goes without saying. While drama art uses language as a tool, its function is almost equals to an existence. It is valid for a period up to 20th century -2500 years-. Drama art make use of language as reflection of life. We call it as dramatic language. Dramatic language in history has two language variations. One is the poetry dramatic language which was the main tool of theatre up to 18th century, and the other is textual dramatic language which might be accepted as the transfer of reality sense and became more widespreat with contemporary theatre. Dramatic language is a language design coded with spoken and written language that shapes principles and characteristics of the centrury. It is the reflection of breaking points of people which worth for making up a story. This special language existent in different functions and principles today requires to be theatric. One of the other indispensible characteristics of this language is the fact that it is regulated, repeated in life reality, freed from details and other things, made the meaning obvious and brought some aesthetic pleasure. The use of dramatic language in Turkish Theathre lies in the memory of textual theathre which has a history of 200 years. Dramatic language in this memory is not less than its use in Western world in terms of quality. Although it is still brand new, there is a clear indication that Turkish Theathre has achieved more than it expected as for qualification and calibres of languge use in plays.
