One of the most important factors in the globalization of the world is the development and evolution of the economy in the world history. The economy has gained an international dimension from the primitive times to the time, due to both the changes in the social life and the changes that technology has reached today. Countries today interact with each other in almost all fields, especially the economy, like never before. The main purpose of the economic activities in the globalizing world is to increase the level of welfare. In order to improve the welfare level, various economic activities are carried out both on an individual basis and among countries. In these activities called import and export, it is quite possible to encounter various problems. Investigation of the factors determined by the buyer or the seller in the delivery and payment method, while keeping the foreground in choosing the delivery and payment method is an important factor in eliminating the complexity that may arise in the future. In addition, it is important for companies that import and export to know the risk and obligations of the delivery modes, as an unconscious or incorrectly chosen delivery method can cause damage to an enterprise that wants to make a profit. Likewise, companies will gain an advantage by choosing the right form of payment. In this study, changes according to the year of Turkey's imports and exports between the 2005-2019 period, the group of countries and their share in total imports and exports of the sector are discussed in detail. Finally, the main purpose of the study, the change of payment and delivery forms over the years, was examined in detail using secondary data sources and whether or not there is any relationship between the payment and delivery forms used in international trade was tried to be determined with the help of correlation. When we look at other studies, it is seen that the relationship between payment and delivery types is not sufficiently examined. For this reason, it has been tried to determine which delivery method used by import and export companies in international trade with which payment method. In the study, literature review and data analysis were done. Delivery methods were tried to be explained in detail by using INCOTERMS brochures published by ICC. They also benefit from the data tables that are created and interpreted by the Turkish Statistical Institute As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that there was a positive relationship between some forms of delivery and some forms of payment, while others had a negative relationship such as, For example, it was determined that there is a positive relationship between the most preferred FOB delivery type in export between 2005-2019 and the Cash against Documents and Letter of Credit payment method.
