Abstract (EN)

As in all sectors, e-commerce applications in agriculture and food sector are developing with increasing momentum. As trust in the system, digital literacy, software and hardware systems and the spread of the internet network develop, the volume of e-commerce grows and its prevalence increases. In this study, in which the developments in e-commerce in the World and in Turkey and the legislation of advanced countries are examined, the development process and content of the legislation that affects the formation of e-commerce systematics and shapes its functioning are evaluated especially in terms of the USA, EU and leading countries in this field. The historical process and development stages of the studies in this field in Turkey were examined, and it was seen that the European Union legislation was taken as a guide in the legislative studies and the harmonization studies were started. It has been determined that the regulations that have been made and are being made in this direction are progressing in a positive direction day by day, but there are deficiencies in the studies that have been done. In order to evaluate the e-commerce applications in the agriculture and food sector, data were obtained from the enterprises operating in this field in Adana using the survey technique, and the analysis was made by using the data.
