Özet (EN)
In a hydraulic structure, it is necessary that the energy of water with high velocity mustdecrease to prevent the damage at the region structures. For this aim, energy dissipated stillingbasins is widespreadly used in the application. In this study, 11 models having different geometries are selected and their dimensionsare 2.1 m height and 2.1 m width. In addition to this, for without baffle block stilling basin isalso made a model. Thus, sum of model was 12. The first, using three dimensional Gambitdrawing program was prepared the models. Then, the Fluent package program has been used foranalysis of the velocity variations, energy dissipation and the dynamical forces acting on blocks. Thus, the model that is dissipate the most energy was investigated among the models tested. As a result, model having triangular geometry (i.e. Model 3) was found that had the bestperformance among 12 models tested. It was shown that the results obtained are verysatisfactory for stilling basin design projects.Key Words: Baffle block, Stilling basin, Hydraulic jumping, CFD, Fluent, Numerical Analysis.
