Investigation of sensitivity value in the context of social information course with differen dimensions

Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to determine how the value of sensitivity is included in the curriculum of the 2018 Social Studies Course and in the textbooks of social studies. In this direction, the 2018 social studies course curriculum and the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th. grade social studies textbooks have been examined for sensitivity value. In the research, document analysis was used as one of the qualitative research methods. Content analysis and descriptive analysis methods were used to analyze the data. As a result of the research, differences were found between the 2018 Social Studies Curriculum and the sensitivity value of textbooks and different dimensions in the case of reflection. It has been determined that the value of "Sensitivity to cultural heritage" is intensively processed in the field of learning "Culture and Heritage" at all grade levels. The subtheme of the sensivity value in the curriculum at 4, 5 and 6 th grade is mentioned the value of sensitivity to the natural environment except for 7 th grade and given no place in all grades the value of sensitivity to historical heritage. Statements about the value of sensitivity in textbooks can be reflected by making themselves felt more clearly; in the curriculum, the relationship between the value of sensitivity and its different dimensions can be reviewed and coordination between textbook texts, images and activities and the learning areas of the program can be achieved.
