Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on affective events theory and the notions of job satisfaction and performance due to the fact that working life cannot be separated from affectivity of the individuals given that the importance attached to the field of organizational behavior in institutions has increased. This study analyzes whether there is a significant relationship between affect (positive-negative affectivity / affective events theory) and job satisfaction and performance. During this analysis, 147 administrative personnel working at a foundation university in İstanbul have been contacted. In the scope of this research, data has been collected using Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, Scale of Job Satisfaction and Performance as well as Internet-based questionnaire model that included several demographical questions to the participants. Data collected has been analyzed in SPSS. In order to identify the relationship among the variables, 147 observations have been analyzed in SPPS package program in the scope of this research and a correlation analysis has been conducted. In this analysis, using the Pearson's correlation as well as crosstabs data, descriptive statistics and basic explications have been provided. When evaluating results of the analysis, it has been understood that there is a significant relationship between affect and job satisfaction and performance. From these results, it has been concluded that individuals with positive affect have higher levels of job satisfaction and performance compared to those with negative affect.
