Abstract (EN)
This research, as being one of the cognitive psychology studies in the perception and evalution which is a sub-division of music psychology, is undertaken with the purpose of assessing the relation between musical hearing interval, which is one of the main elements in musical perception, and mood changes of high school students aged between 15-18 years being educated in intense music courses. In this study, success rates in interval hearing of high school students those moods manipulated using different mood types (i.e., positive, nötr, negative). Conceptual framework of the research is developed utilizing the half-experimental model with post-test control group. Research group consists of 57 students from Duzce High School of Fine Arts and Bolu High School of Fine Arts in 2015-2016 academic year. In the study, 'the scale for mood'(Coşkun and Gultepe 2014)and 'the perception scale of harmonic bichord interval hearing'which is developed for this research, was applied to students During the study, Kruskal-Wallis Hwas used todetermine whether there is a significant difference in students' total success scores of hearing consonance intervals and total success scores of hearing dissonance intervals in different mood (positive, neutral and negative), also One Way ANOVA was used to determine whether there is a significant difference in students' total success scores of hearing consonance and dissonance intervals in different mood (positive, neutral and negative). There was analyzed whether there is a significant relationship in students' total success scores of each interval according to scale on 'perception scale of harmonic bichord interval hearing' with Cramer V Correlation. In conclusion, data from this research, it was determined that no significant difference changing of mood and students' perception consonance and dissonance intervals hearing. However, in according to total success scores of eighth question, which is Major seven, hearing there was observed that significant difference. In another intervals questions there was determined that no significant difference. Keywords:Psychology of music,Consanance-Dissonance Interval Hearing, Mood, Ear Training,
