Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the moderating role of perceived competence in the relationship between neuroticism and impression management. With the convenience sampling method, 256 individuals working within the General Directorate of Tea Enterprises (ÇAYKUR) in Rize were reached. The data obtained by the survey method were analyzed using the SPSS package program. Simple and multiple linear regression analyses were applied to test the research hypotheses. As a result of the study; it is seen that neuroticism affects impression management in the same direction. When the moderating role of perceived competence, which is the other hypothesis of the research, is examined, it is seen that moderating role of perceived competence is significant in the relationship between neuroticism and self-love by introducing the qualities of dimension from impression management. On the other hand, there was no moderating effect of perceived competence in the relationship between neuroticism and trying to take ownership of one's job of dimension from impression management.
