Özet (EN)
Vertical gardens are one of the best inventions that have emerged to fulfill the decreasing green areas in cities and to sustain the alternative green between monotonous concreting. Vertical gardens, also known as the "Living Wall", are based on growing live plants on the outer surfaces of the buildings and in a soilless environment. In addition to being an ecological approach for big cities that do not have enough space to have large gardens and are detached from nature, it is an application to increase the effect of green areas in cities. While meeting many functional requirements such as preventing heat loss of buildings, increasing O₂ ratio, absorbing toxic gases, dust and dirt in the air, it adds a different architectural dimension to the spaces thanks to its aesthetic visions. Today, considering the advantages as well as the disadvantages of life in cities, it is aimed to create alternative green and natural areas and to bring vertical gardens to the forefront in order not to dull the harmony of nature-human being by crowding and concreting. Vertical gardens, which provide countless benefits to the city, remove the stress of the city on people with the perception of natural space and away from the structural life. In the study, vertical garden designs were presented with different materials and designs consisting of live plants were the applications preferred by the people. The aim of this study is; Examining the vertical gardens, which have an example in our country and in the world, it is recommended to create and implement vertical garden designs with the help of computer programs for the important transition points of the province of Düzce.
