Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of CrossFit training on the static and dynamic balance among subjects. The study included twenty volunteer amateur athletes (10M, 10K; 25-40 years old) who have been doing CrossFit training for at least 6 months and twenty volunteer sedentary individuals (10M, 10K; 25-40 years old) who did not do sports for at least 6 months. Both groups, static balance values of individuals were evaluated by Balance Error Scoring System (BESS), and dynamic balance were evaluated by Y Balance Test (YBT). The main results of our study comparing the two groups showed that the dynamic balance of the individuals who regularly performed CrossFit training was better than the sedentary individuals in all parameters of the YBT (p <0.05). On the other hand, in some parameters of the BESS results, it was observed that the static balance of the individuals doing CrossFit training was better than the sedentary individuals. Consistent with the hypothesis, regular CrossFit training may be effective in positively improving static and dynamic balance in adults.
