Opinions of school administrators about the application of e-okul system

In this study, it is aimed to determine what are the views of school administrators about the e-School Project, which is implemented by the Ministry of Education. Within the framework of authorization and responsibilities of school administrators, These have been tried to be detected as follows; what are the thoughts of, administrators of schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education about the implementation of e-school which is a centralized system taking base of forms of centralized and decentralized management, ; to what extent they benefit from the e-School System while performing their duties in schools; whether or not there is any problem due to the use of the system and what are the benefits of the system.In the study, school administrators (668) who work in primary and secondary schools (215) of Balcova, Cigli, Selcuk, Buca, Menemen and Torbalı located in the province of Izmir, in the academic year 2011-2012, were selected as sample. Stratified sampling method was used while taking sample. Districts that make up the sample were selected by simple random sampling method according to their level of development after having determined the numbers of the administrators and the districts situated in layers. Scale of Opinions of School Administrators on Implementation of e-school system was used as a data collection tool.According to the results obtained at the end of the research process; among the opinions of school administrators regarding the implementation of e-school system; there is no significant difference according to age, seniority, education levels, total duration of daily internet usage, the education type and the size (the number of students and classes ) of the school they work at. It was concluded that there were significant differences in compliance with gender, duties, places of duty, types of schools and levels of development of the districts.
