Abstract (EN)

In this study, attitudes of adolescents whose parents relate family relations in their cognitions are examined with repertoire network technique. The purpose of this study is the examination of the cognitive constructs of the adolescents who perceive both parents in the dimension of strict audit/control and acceptance/interest with the repertory network technique. The research group consists of a total of 20 participants from the Suadiye Haci Mustafa Tarman Anatolian High School, which is located in Kadıköy District of Istanbul Province in the academic year of 2015-2016, on 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. While the research group was constituted, 120 pupils were administered the Child Raising Attitudes Scale (MCHRS); 10 acceptance/interest in relation to having a sibling and both parents together; 10 students selected for strict audit /control. Data on personal and familial characteristics related to the participants were collected by the "Personal Information Form" prepared by the researcher. This study is a qualitative study and it is organized in the pattern of engaging. Case study is a qualitative research method in which the subjective experiences of people with an event or situation they experience are examined (Lester, 1999). Qualitative design defines a research that allows us to have in-depth interpretations of phenomena in which we know but can not produce clear comments based on scientific discoveries (Yaman, 2010). Because of the internal validity in the research model, it has been determined as a quantitative case analysis. In the study, with the data collected by the repertoire network method has the purpose of examining the relationship between mother and father, the relationship with father, the relationship of mother with a sibling, the relationship of father with a sibling and the relationship of parents with their personal associations among the adolescents perceiving their parents in terms of strict audit/control and acceptance/interest. In accordance with the findings of the study all of the adolescents who see their parents as acceptance and 9 of the adolescents who see their parents in the strict audit has the relationship with the mother of negative personal structure, all of the adolescents who see their parents as acceptance and 8 of the adolescents who see their parents in the strict audit has the relationship with the father of negative personal structure. Eight of the adolescents in both groups explained their relationship with their siblings with negative structure. 9 of adolescents who see their parents with acceptance and 8 of adolescents who see their parents with strict audit describes the the relationship with the mother of positive personal structure. 8 of adolescents who see their parents as acceptance has a positive relationship with their father and only two negative personal structures were announced. On the other hand, 5 of the adolescents in the strict audit/control dimension explain their father's relations with themselves in negative personal structures. All of adolescents who see their parents as acceptance and 9 of the adolescents who see their parents in the strict audit describe their mother's relationship with their father as positive personal structures. 6 of adolescents who see their parents as acceptance describe their father's relationship with their mother as positive, only 4 of them describe as negative personal structures. However, 9 of the strict audit/control adolescents identified their father's relationship wıth their mother with positive personal structures.
