Abu al-Fayd Ahmad al-Ghumari and his hadithions

Maghrib has a distinguished place in terms of hadith sciences. Many hadith scholars who grew up in the region throughout history made important contributions to the history of Islamic culture. One of the last period muhaddis, Abu'l-Fayd Ahmed b. Mu-hammed b. es-Siddiq is one of the important hadith scholars raised by Maghrib. Abu'l-Fayd Ahmad has written many books. He is one of the prominent scholars of the last period in terms of hadith criticism. He considers himself a mujtahid. Accordingly, he reached unique conclusions about both the soundness of the hadiths and the situation of the narrators in terms of cerh-tadil. He is a tariqa sheikh and has Shiite thoughts. He is also against modern Islamic thought. Therefore, his position in Islamic sciences, espe-cially hadith science, is remarkable. This study, titled "Abu'l-Feyz Ahemd al-Gumari and His Hadith," deals with the scientific, political and sociological situation of the Maghreb in the first half of the twentieth century. And Ebu'l-Feyz Ahmed's life, scien-tific personality and the aspects he followed in hadith criticism. According to this; Du-ring the period when Ebu'l-Feyz Ahmed lived, the political and cultural situation of Maghrib was examined, and the science centers of the Islamic world at that time and the situation of Maghrib in terms of hadith sciences were evaluated. It has been tried to show which methods Abu'l-Feyz Ahmed used to reach conclusions about the hadiths and to what extent he adhered to the established rules of procedure. In the study, it was determined that Ebu'l-Feyz Ahmed used the same method (isnad criticism) with the hadith scholars in his criticism of the narration. However, what made him privile-ged in this regard was that he brought serious criticism to hadith scholars in the use of the isnad system.
