The life of Ebu'l-Hasen Ali b. Ahmed b. Muhammed en-Nîsâbûrî el-Vâhidî and his method in the tafsir named el-Vecîz fî Tefsîr-i Kitabi'l-Azîz

Vahidi is one of the leading scholars of the fifth century hijri. He wrote important works in various fields of religious sciences. He is famous for his work named "Esbâbü'n-Nüzül", together with his commentaries in three different volumes. The subject of the study is "Ebü'l-Hasen Ali b. Ahmed b. The Life of Muhammad en-Nîsâbûrî al-Vâhidi and the Method of his Tafsir called el-Vecîz fi Tefsîri'l-Kitab'il-'Azîz. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the method of explaining the Qur'an in Vâhidi's work called el-Vecîz. In the first part of the study, the political situation of the region where Vahidi li-ved and the Islamic world, his family, life, scientific and cultural environment, sectarian aspect, scientific personality, students and works were examined. In the second part of the study, the different names of al-Vecîz which is the subject of our study, mentioned in various sources, the errors caused by the similarity of the verses in the manuscripts. The features of the verses related to the exegesis methods. In addition, the prin-ciples of exegesis method related to the issues that need to be explained in the Qur'an are explained by giving examples from verses and hadiths. In the third part of the study, The Qur'an sciences identified in al-Vecîz are included. In addition, the eloquent subtleties pointed out by the author in al-Vecîz are explained within the framework of the relevant verses. In addition, the verses in which there are nahwî and expeditious rules that draw attention in tafsir are included and these rules are explained. Again in this section, the author's way of explaining the verses of the Qur'an and the stories in the Qur'an and his approach to theological issues are included. In the conclusion part, a general evaluation of the studies done in these three parts is made.
