Abstract (EN)

The subject of our study is The Revelatory Occasion in the Ebu al-Leyth al-Samarqandî's book Commentary on the Qur'an. al-Samarqandî is one of the greatest scholars in A. H. 4th century. He was born in Samarkand approximately between the years of 301 and 310 After Hijrah, and he died in A. H. 373-A. D. 983.al-Samarqandî's book "Commentary on the Qur'an" is one of the greatest book in the other books which written by himself.Our study consists of an introduction and three chapters and a conclusion.İt has been given in the introduction briefly information about the subject and goal and method of the study, and al-Samarqandî?s life and the period of his lived in.İt has been explained in the first chapter that from which sources and how al-Samarqandî received the narrations of the revelatory occasions in the his commentary, and it has been endeavoured to reveal his method connected with narrations of the revelatory occasions in many waysİt has been explained in the second chapter other different methods that used by al-Samarqandî on the narrations of revelatory occasions. Moreover it has been given the terms used by commentator in the beginning and end of the narrations of revelatory occasions.İt has been done a general evaluation on the al-Samarqandî's method of revelatory occasions, and has been endeavoured to reveal positive and negative aspects of this method, and has been given statistically data about verses he referred narrations of revelatory occasion for them.
