The study deals with a manuscript investigation into the interpretation of the Qur'an From Surat al-Fatihah to the end of Surat al-Baqara by the hanafi jurist Abu Nasr Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Sajawandi, one of the scholars of the sixth century AH, He abbreviated the book of his father Muhammad bin Tayfur al-Sajawandi al-Ghaznawi called "Insan al-Ain". This interpretation has several advantages made it very important, source to the scholars of his era and those who came after him, like Al-Qurtubi and Al-Alusi, these advantages are ; His interest in the science of stopping and starting in the Holy Qur'an, and his mention of details related to stories in the Holy Qur'an like the names of cities and people, which were not mentioned in other interpretations, and it is a rich book in meanings, and the linguistic and grammatical information. The study followed the historical descriptive approach when introducing Al-Sajawandi and studying his method and his sources, and the scientific method in investigation and commentary in studying the manuscript such as: writing the text and contrasting its copies, mentioning the differences in the margin without commenting on them, extracting the Qur'anic verses and hadiths of the Prophet, attributing texts and sayings to their sources, extracting poetic verses and adjusting their texts. The most important conclusions of the study were as follows: The scarcity of information is the most prominent feature in the lives of the father and son of Sajawandi, in addition to the confusion between them. Especially since biographers used conjecture in a lot of information about the author and his father. Also, Al-Sajwandi cared more about issues related to one word in the Quran than his care about the whole verse, and this explains his use of language in explaining vocabulary, and his frequent citation of Arabic poetry, as well as the originality of the sources he quoted from, it was for great scholars, such as al-Shafi'i, Abu Hanifa, Sibaweh, al-Farra', Thalab, al-Mubarrid, al-Zajjaj, and Ibn al-Sarraj.
