The style of Ece Ayhan's poems

Ece Ayhan, known as the most controversial poet of Second New Poetry, tried to create a unique original style out of the rules and patterns of the moderate tongues of the other Second New poets. Ece Ayhan, one of the most unique poets of Second New, tries to go beyond the use of standard language. It breaks many known rules on the ground. In poetry, both formal and semantic deviations are included. Because of these deviations, it is not possible for everyone to understand his poems. He said he did not care about the reader anyway. In fact, his poems seem to be full of meaningless words at first glance, but when it comes to the depths of poetry, it seems that this is not the case. The voice, word and meaning in his poems are harmonious, just like a music. For this reason, Ece Ayhan's poem and style is very important for the complete understanding and correct explanation of the Second New Poem and also the modern Turkish poetry. In this study, Ece Ayhan's poems were analyzed with micro style analysis method; the content was examined in four different perspectives as language, content, art and deviations by taking a descriptive style examination method. For this purpose, a total twenty-five poems consisted of three poems in short, medium and long levels were randomly selected from the poet's work named "Bütün Yort Savul'lar. These poems were first examined in four dimensions: voice, word, word group and sentence, then content, art and deviations. Later on, the poet's style is tried to be discovered by making detailed examinations of randomly-selected poems written at different times in terms of language, art and content. Thus, this study has contributed to the efforts to recognize, introduce, understand Ece Ayhan, one of the most important poets of Second New Poetry which has become a center of interest in recent years, and at the same time to determine the style of "Second New Poetry" and to provide an appropriate sources for new scientific works.
