Abstract (EN)
The purpose of the research is land use type/land cover (LUT/LC) in the semi-arid catchment to demonstrate their effects on surface water quality parameters. The study was carried out in two adjacent catchments in the Sarayköy Pond watershed the agricultural-grassland catchment (283 hectares) and forest catchment (484 hectares). Water samples were taken periodically during the one year on each month on the same day and time. Physical, chemical and hydrological analyzes of catchment waters were carried out and the relationships between the water quality properties and LUT/LC have been determined. According to the obtained findings, the phenolphthalein alkalinity with LUT/LC has a statistically significant relationship between total hardness, calcium stiffness, nitrate, turbidity, pH, and salt. It has been revealed that there is a meaningful relationship between water quality parameters and seasonal change in both catchments. As a result, it has been determined that in the catchment LUT/LC and season have direct effects on the change of water quality parameters.
