Abstract (EN)
SUMMARYStreptococcus spp., can be present on skin and mucosal surfaces of animal and human.Like most of the animals also these microorganisms can create diseases on fish and so theycan cause economical looses. Therefore, Streptococcal infections are very importantespecially for cultured freshwater fısh. The aim of this study was, to define Streptococcalinfections at culture fish in Aegian Region.In this research, 150 live culture fishes were taken from various fish farms on AegeonRegion and they classified as healthy or diseased. After analiysing these 150 culture fishes atroutine identification laboratories, 101 microorganism isolated. 10 (%9,90) of these bacteriawere identified as Gram-Negative cocci and bacilli, 91 (%90,10) of them were identified asGram-Positive cocci-coccoid.After identification of these 91 Gram positive cocci-coccoid microorganisms, the mostprevelant strains were Lactococcus lactis (32), Enterococcus avium (3), Enterococcus feacalis(16), Listeria spp. (1), Aerococcus viridans (10), Aerococcus urinae (5), Streptococcuspyogenes (7) and Streptococcus agalactiae (13).S. agalactia, isolated from 10.42 % of healthy fish as well as they isolated from 7.84% of diseased fish. Also S. pyogenes isolated from 6.25 % of healthy fish and 3.92 % ofdiseased fish.
