Abstract (EN)

From the early periods of human? s existence, jewelry, with its form, material and method of production style have been a symbolic object that reflects most properly the era?s (which it is made at ) technical and artistical level, way, way of life and its beliefs. The roots of jewelry wearing extends to the ancient times of human?s who likes to draw attention and as well as his/her beliefs. Since ancient times, jewelry products are analyzed, we will have information about the structural characteristics of communities. With its form specialities, used materials, production techniques and with its esthetic value, jewelry shows the socio-cultural and socio-economical level of development of the era which its belongs to. The jewelry; which is accepted as nonverbal means of communication; from their form of production to their way of design, from their variety to their functionality, gives clues about the person?s personality, mood, social and economical status who wears the jewelery, as well as it gives messages from the period it belongs to. At this study; technique and design specialities of the traditional jewelry of Ege University Etnography Museum which are have rich cultural affects Anatolia on Balcans; have been examined and submitted. The jewelery have been used as a mean of giving message to opponent an a way of dressing. The forms of jewelery and techniques show vareity through the region that its made at. At the end of this research, by usuing the forms of the jewelery of Ege University Etnography Museum, hand bags are made with rhe ınfluence of traditional ornaments. At the metal parts of the designed bags; the jewelry making tecchniques forms are being used to reflect throught the daily life.
