Abstract (EN)
EBA as the content of FATİH project by MEB; It is a distance education platform that enables the integration of technology with education and training environments by supporting effective materials thanks to IT tools, at home, at school, in short, wherever it comes to mind. There are many multimedia files in EBA such as videos, many course materials, audio files, visual contents, magazines and digital games. The aim of this research is to examine the compatibility of the videos prepared for the secondary school mathematics course and made available to the students and teachers in both distance education activities and in-class activities via the EBA (Educational Information Network) platform with multimedia design principles. In this research, in which the case study design, one of the qualitative research designs, was used, the videos prepared for the secondary school 5th grade mathematics course contents, which are open to access through the EBA platform EBA Courses module in the 2020-2021 academic year, were examined in accordance with the multimedia design principles, using the document analysis method. The working group of this research consists of 98 videos prepared for the 5th grade mathematics course contents in EBA. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by using the "Educational Multimedia Applications Evaluation Rubric". In the research, a second encoder was used to ensure the reliability of the data analysis. The coefficient of agreement between coders was calculated as 0.87, this result shows that the agreement between observers is at a very good level. At the end of the research, elements such as visuals, animations, texts, tables and graphics used in the content of the videos prepared for the secondary school 5th grade mathematics content in EBA are aligned on the screen, the daily spoken language is preferred in the videos, the important parts of the subject are highlighted with various methods (writing color, size, etc.). In short, it was concluded that the videos were significantly compatible with Mayer's (2009) multimedia design principles. Keywords: EBA, EBA Course, multimedia design principles, middle school mathematics course contents.
