Panel data analysis as a method of econometric and an application

Vegetables and tubers are indispensable elements of human life and one of the basic steps of nutrition. It is a fact that Turkey has very fertile soil to produce vegetables and tubers when geographical and climatic characteristics are taken into consideration. Therefore, the exportation of vegetables and tubers has a significant impact on the Turkish economy. In this thesis study, it is aimed to model the factors affecting the exportation of vegetables and tubers produced in certain provinces of Turkey and situated in chapter 7 of the foreign trade legislation by means of panel data analysis. An appropriate export model is suggested amongst the model constructed using by logarithmic and linear modeling on the data set consisting of 12 provinces and 6 variables
