Özet (EN)

The need for electrical energy increases day by day with the development of technology. Interconnected networks systems are used in the delivery of the energy to the consumers. It is inevitable that the technical staff who will take part in the design, operation and control of the power systems will have their knowledge capacity in line with today's conditions, as well as their problem solving and analytical thinking skills. Thus, in the education of the staffs, who take place in power systems field, not only the theoretical but also applications should be considered. Although the problems encountered during the educations are similar to those in real life, it is of course desirable to learn the solutions of these problems. But, power system analysis problems are mostly applications that are likely to make mistakes, take time and require long solutions. At this point, since computers step in and perform complex operations precisely, accurately and quickly, all these deficiencies can be eliminated. Since most of the computer programs developed on the subject are intended for professional use, unfortunately they are not possible to be used for educational purposes. In this study, a computer software namely Power Systems Education Program (GSEP) was developed that can be easily used by people working and training in power systems analysis and solve analysis and fault problems. GSEP is a program that also allows modeling of power systems. GSEP is a Matlab-based simulation program with a graphical user interface, suitable for research and educational purposes. As an example; by testing the main features and efficiency of the developed program on sample power systems, the results obtained are shown numerically and graphically.
