Abstract (EN)
The colored textile wastewater is one of the most serious environmental problems that face the existing of safe life on the worldwide. Its complexity, toxicity and existing of resistance materials makes its treatment so hard and minimize the numbers of avalaible treatment methods which can be used to treat it. The aim of this study was to examine the removal of color and organic material in real textile wastewaters with electrochemical oxidation by using of the platinum electrodes. The effectiveness of current density, the distance between electrodes, electrolyte concentration and the initial pH value on COD removing and decolorization had been investigated. The maximum value of current density, the distance between electrodes, the electrolyte concentration and pH value were 25 volt, 1 cm, 100 mg/L and 3, respectively. Depending on these value the maximum removal of COD and color were %90.54 and %99.9 respectively. It was found that the acidic medium is most suitable for degradation of organic material that is found in textile wastewater. The kinetic study had been done on the obtained result. Depending on the kinetic study it was understood that the degradation of organic matter and removal of color followed the first order reaction with good correlation efficiency (>0.95).
