Enderunlu Fazil's Divan (text-analysis)

Enderunlu Fâzıl is an Arab-origin Divan poet who lived at the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century, who is accepted to have taken the localization movement one step further, and who wrote works that shed light on the daily life of his period, such as Hûbânname, Zenânname, Çenginâme, especially his Divan, with the Turkish he learned later. This study is based on the preparation of the poet's critical text of the Divan, some parts of which were translated into Latin letters over a limited number of copies in previous studies, and the analysis of the work over this text. This study consists of six chapters. In the first chapter, the aim and importance of this study and its limitations are stated. In the second part, the theoretical and conceptual framework is drawn and related researches are included. The third section is the method section, which clarifies the research model, data collection and analysis process. The fourth section is the findings section of our study. In this section, information about Fâzıl's life, literary personality and works are given, and his Divan, which is the main subject of our study, is examined according to its shape, language and style features and thematic characteristics. While making the thematic analysis of the work, the sections of the work were taken as basis and each section was examined as a whole. According to the subjects, sections and memduhs they deal with; historical poems are written according to the events, people and method-technical features; ghazals according to their genres such as rinden, magisterial, lyric, and the elements of beauty they contain; His songs were examined as a whole, especially in terms of the traces of his Çenginâme, the effect of Nedim and the reflections of the entertainment life of the period. The different characteristics of the work, such as the prohibition of alcohol and prostitution, landscapes of Istanbul and the countryside, and internationality of the period, were evaluated under a separate title. he fifth section is the section where the discussion, conclusion and recommendations of our study are included. The sixth chapter is the part where the critical text of the Divan, which has not been fully published until now, is included. In this section, the methods followed in the establishment of the critical text are explained, the manuscripts of the work are described and evaluated, and the genealogy of the copy is determined. The text, which was criticized on the selected copies, was given with the transcription alphabet, and the criteria used in the preparation of the text were clearly stated in the relevant sections. In addition, the preferred system is discussed by specifying the problems related to the spelling of the text and the order of the poems. The work has been divided into sections in the light of the copies taken as basis and arranged as a single copy. It is aimed to understand the value of Divan and to determine the place of Fâzıl, who is mostly known for his masnavis, in Turkish Literature.
