Abstract (EN)
In this retrospective study, data of 73 patients with pituitary adenoma who underwent endoscopic transsphenoidal surgery at the Department of Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, Trakya University were examined. It was observed that the majority of patients were male and the mean age was 50 ± 13.4. The rate of non-functional pathologies was higher than functional pathologies. Total resection was seen more frequently. It was determined that macroadenoma was detected in the majority of patients. Patients were generally classified as Grade 1 according to the Knosp classification. No mortality was observed. Morbidity was not detected in 76.7% of the patients and apoplexy was not detected in 87.7%. The mean age was higher in cases with non-functional adenomas. It was observed that Grade 1 and Grade 2 classifications were more common in patients who underwent total resection.
