Abstract (EN)

Industrial wastes, like all other wastes, constitute a major problem for the environment and humans health from the moment they are produced until the final disposal. Recycling industrial wastes have become an issue of great importance in terms of sustainability in recent years. There have been many methods for recycling industrial waste. Reprocessing waste and producing new products is the most common recycling method. It is also possible to produce energy from some industrial wastes by burning them or processing by biological methods. Another recycling method is the recovery of valuable materials contained in waste. In this thesis study; it has been discussed that whether different industrial wastes can be used as raw metarials in cement production without any processing or not. Fort his aim, the content of 15 different industrial wastes have been analyzed with the XRF technique. In wastes; SiO2 (%), Al2O3 (%), Fe2O3 (%), CaO (%), MgO (%), SO3 (%), Na2O (%) and K2O (%) have been analyzed. Analysis results in wastes show that the amont of SiO2 is between 1.44% and 93.81%, the amount of Al2O3 is between 0.29% and 70.81%, the amont of Fe2O3 is between 0.13% and 40.86%, the amount of CaO is between 0.24% and 51.31% the amount of MgO varies between 0.11% and 6.31%. Then, the maximum amount of waste materials that could be used in cement production were calculated to meet the required parameters which are used for product quality standards for silicate modulus, lime standards and aluminum modulus.
