Humanity is constantly interacting with the circuit in vital activities. Agrofood, one of these activities, is an activity in which all elements of humans and the ecosystem are intensively active. At this point, the agricultural agriculture and food system offers solutions to many destructive problems such as ecologically sensitive, socially fair, economically sustainable, food security and products. Agroecology is a relatively new concept. Therefore, the contribution of different disciplines is needed for development. The role of documentary films is very important in creating social memory and participation in the idea and practice of agroecology. In this regard, it is thought that agroecology principles and principles are included more; The documentaries "Poison-Free Tables", "Bad Seed", "Seeds of Goca Yoruk", "Awakening of the Soil", "New Villager" were examined. Through sample films, it has been tried to reveal the approach of documentary cinema art towards agroecology science and policy and to show the possible responsibilities it can undertake. As a method in the study, a hermeneutic analysis was conducted within an ecocritical framework. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the sample films contained discourses focusing on the problems of the current agriculture and food system, especially ecological, social, economic, demographic, food health and safety. In addition, the hegemonic and domination structures of the current agricultural and food regime were examined in the film contents of films with free production features. As a result, it has been concluded that documentary cinema can be an allied factor in creating social memory and participation towards agroecology science and policy, and that relatively more quantitative and qualitative films are needed KEYWORDS: Ecology, Agroecology, Ecocriticism, Documentary Cinema, Ecodocumentary
