Cleanroom design is today a specific field of specialization. The reason of this is that the cleanrooms are not only needed in operation rooms and intensive care units but also they are frequently needed in many areas such as pharmaceutical production plants, electronic processes industry, preparation of sterile reparations in pharmacy. The cleanrooms at today?s standarts are achieved as a result of many researches and studies. In this study, cleanromm types according to air flow forms, their structural charachteristics, the standarts related to the cleanroom classes and the filters which play an important role in achieving the cleanliness class are described under the title of cleanroom systems and components. General information is given on hygienic air handling units and dehumidifiers, and the conditions that should be considered, pharmaceutical process types en typical cleanroom systems are described under the title of cleanroom design. The cleanrooms at pharmaceutical production plants are the focal point of our study. Due to this, the classes of the cleanrooms at pharmaceutical production plants, the standarts concerning the characteristics the ventilation installation elements are taken as the base and examined and an application project in a pharmaceutical production plant is included.
