Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to analysis the existing buildings with a software, to identify the improvements and to determine the energy savings to be made. In this context, the existing and two different improved models of a building were compared. The first case includes the current state of the building, the second and third cases contain the improved conditions. Improvements concentrated on thermal insulation, infiltration and lighting system. Using the architectural projects of the 3rd block of the Faculty of Engineering of Dicle University, three-dimensional building models were created in the Design Builder program. Simulations were made on these models. Three different situations were defined in the simulations and energy savings analysis was made between states. While 15% savings are observed in electricity consumption, it has been determined that natural gas consumption will decrease by 90%.
