Disabled job coaching model: Ankara province example

The primary aim of this research is to comprehensively examine the impact of the "Disabled Job Coaching" program initiated by the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) on the employment processes of disabled individuals. Conducted using a qualitative research approach, the study aims to analyze the process and implementation of İŞKUR's disabled job coaching project in detail, employing a case study method to understand the dynamics and relationships within. The data collection process consists of two stages. Firstly, institutional data and documentation arising from the İŞKUR disabled job coaching project process and implementation phase were meticulously collected. In the second stage, semi-structured interviews were conducted using questionnaires with 13 disabled individuals who applied to İŞKUR, 10 job coaches responsible for facilitating the employment of disabled individuals, and 10 company officials responsible for hiring disabled workers. The collected data were evaluated through a comprehensive content analysis using the masqda program. The results of the research indicate that İŞKUR's "Disabled Job Coaching" program positively influences the employment processes of disabled individuals. In line with its objectives, the program has been found to enhance the quality of life for disabled individuals and strengthen their chances of finding employment. The job coaching support provided by İŞKUR has proven effective in guiding the job search processes of disabled individuals and improving communication with employers. These findings not only point to effective practices for supporting İŞKUR's strategies for promoting disabled employment but also demonstrate the program's success as a model contributing to sustainable employment. It is emphasized among disabled individuals that this program has made the job search process more efficient and productive. These results highlight effective strategies that can be utilized to strengthen İŞKUR's efforts to promote disabled employment.
