Pertev Pasha copy of Envârü'l-Âşıkîn (133A-264A) (Introduction, form, text, index, facsimile)

Envârü'I-Âşıkîn, which we have studied in order to better understand the development of the Oghuz Turkish literary language, is a religious work replicated in prose type by Yazıcıoğlu Ahmed Bîcân on February 3, 1451, in one of the Muharram months of 855 (Hijri). There are many copies of Envârü'I-eserşıkîn in various libraries, which was written in the period of Old Anatolian Turkish and which has the language characteristics of that period. The oldest known copy of the work is the Pertev Pasha Copy. This copy, which is the subject of our study, is located in the Pertev Pasha section of the Süleymaniye Library of Istanbul, under accession record 00229M. In the copy consisting of 397 leafs, inside the frame text all is written by using black ink with naskh action, with only the verses, hadiths, prayers and chapter names written in red. Although the number of lines is generally 15, in some pages it goes up to 16, 17 lines. In leaf 396b of the copy, it states that the artwork has been replicated by Pîri bin Ali bin Posal (?) in the year 918 (hijri) on a Tuesday (June 1512) in the middle of the month of Rabi al Awwal. The artwork consists of five sections which are the "Introduction", "Morphology", "Text", "Index" and "Facsimile Examples"; and in the "Introduction" section information is provided about the contents of Envârü'l-Aşıkîn, its copies, and the Old Anatolian Turkish period in which the Envârü'l-Aşıkîn was written; information has also been provided about Yazıcıoğlu Ahmed Bîcân, who is the author of the work. In the "Form" section; suffixes, inflectional suffixes, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs and prepositions are exemplified and explained. In the "Text" section, the translation of Envârü'l-Aşıkîn Pertev Pasha copy's parts between the leaves 133a-264a are presented. In the "Index" section, "TürkSözDiz v.3.2" index preparation program was used. The words in the index, which was prepared in order to make a contribution to the vocabulary of the Old Anatolian Turkish period, are listed in alphabetical order, and their meanings and the language they belong to are written by taking into consideration the usage of the words in the text. In the "Facsimile Examples" section, Facsimile poses of some parts of the Pertev Pasha copy of Envârü'l-Aşıkîn are included. At the end of the study, the conclusion section and the sources used in the study are included.
