Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between adolescents' cognitive flexibility, body perception and subjective well-being. For the purpose of this study, it was preferred to use quantitative research method and relational design. The research group consists of 538 adolescents, aged between 14 and 18, who continue their education in different types of high schools in the Central district of Batman province in the 2022-2023 academic year. Appropriate sampling method was used to determine the research group. In this study, the Cognitive Flexibility Scale was used to measure cognitive flexibility, the Body Appreciation Scale was used to measure body perception, and the Subjective Well-Being Scale for Adolescents was used to measure the subjective well-being of adolescents. All statistical analyzes in this study were performed with the SPSS 27 package program. Pearson Correlation analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis tests were used to analyze the data obtained in order to reveal the relationships between the variables. As a result of the analyses, there was a moderate positive significant relationship between adolescents' cognitive flexibility scores and body liking scores (r=.45, p<0.01) and subjective well-being scores (r=.40, p<0.01). It was found that the independent variables predicted the dependent variable of subjective well-being. These findings were discussed within the framework of the literature.
