The relationship among multiple intelligence, religionisty and spirituality in adolescents

Human being has biological, spiritual and psychosocial needs that interacts each other. It is aforementioned that Individuals have experiences and decisions that develop within the framework of the meaning they have developed or attributed to social life. When evaluating individuals, it's necessary to evaluate them socially, emotionally, cultural and spiritually. The main purpose of the research is to analyze the effects of religiosity and spirituality on adolescents, and to analyze their thoughts on the concepts of multiple intelligences, religiosity and spirituality, and to make rational inferences within the framework of multiple intelligence theory. This study is based on the determination of the equivalents of multiple intelligence areas, religiosity and spirituality perception and thought in adolescents, and the analysis of the participants' evaluations of the religiosity and spirituality relations in the context of multiple intelligence areas, based on their views and thoughts about their own lives. The study group of the research consists of 12 participants, 6 girls and 6 boys, who were reached by snowball technique from Istanbul Beşiktaş Kabataş High School For Boys graduate students in the 2019-2020 academic year. ''Easily Accessible and Situational Sampling Method'' which is among the qualitative research sampling methods, was used to determine the participants. According to the results obtained, it has been determined that multiple intelligence areas affect the religiosity and spiritually of adolescents in three ways. 1. Religiosity has a limited effect on adolescents. The phenomenon of religiosity was evaluated through worship. 2. It can be said that spirituality has a greater effect on adolescents. 3. In general, the traces of existence of many areas of multiple intelligence fields were expressed by the participants with examples. The research is a qualitative study and was conducted with a case study pattern within the scope of focus group work. The research data were analyzed by descriptive and content analysis methods. According to the findings we have reached in the research, the spiritual attitude of the adolescence period and the multiple intelligence fields, which are among the factors affecting life, were tried to be interpreted in line with the information given by the participants.
